Parents,
Please mark your calendars. Parent Teacher Conferences will be held Feb 5-7 (evenings of the 5 & 6, school day times 6 & 7). Watch for information on how to schedule in the next week or two.
Reading testing is almost done! Your child's reading levels (take home reading and raz-kids) will be adjusted by Monday, Jan 27th.
A note from about a nearby Chinese night. "Lehi High's Chinese Students invite you to our 4th annual Chinese New Year Celebration on Monday, January 27th, at 6pm. Admission is 1$ per person. The event is geared towards families, with lots of activities for children of all ages. A flyer came home with details on the 20+ booths/activities available and the performances that will start at 7:15. Come watch a shadow puppet performance, paint your own Terracotta Warrior figurine, stamp out a zodiac animal matching game, and make water dance with a Chinese spouting bowl, to name a few. There are 7-8 new booths this year, many with a Year of the Horse theme. We will have small portions of Chinese dumplings to sample, but there will be no other food available for purchase. T-shirts will be on sale for $7.
The Chinese students at Lehi High are excited to share what we've learned about Chinese culture with each of you!
Thanks,
Aaron Andersen

A note from Mrs. Liston,
I would like to congratulate the children for their progress during last few weeks. As you know they have started to only speak Chinese in the classroom. They have done very well and have worked hard at only speaking Chinese. We are still doing the DoJo points in the classroom and the students are getting rewards for their efforts. Please continue to encourage your child to speak Chinese only in the classroom. This will help greatly in their progress to speak Chinese.
If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you for your hard work to help your child.
